MSCTY

MSCTY (Musicity) together with Tallinn Architecture Biennale present a series of short, single-track music performances and playbacks by 9 most exciting Estonian composers and sound artists next to architectural gems, landmarks and less-known spaces in North of Tallinn that inspired each piece of featured music.

MSCTY works collaboratively across the disciplines of architecture, music and acoustic engineering to lay out alternative routes of experiencing contemporary cities. The interface it creates between sound and space aims to reveal the depth nestled in the acoustic qualities of our urban landscapes. Music and architecture share remarkable affinities, both relying on structures spawning rhythm, ruled by proportions, aiming for harmony. By reintroducing musical practice to a variety of spatial situations, the intent is to renew the shared pursuit of emotional beauty and experience within architecture.
