Question

Do we have to name the boards for the submission as:
– project code + boards.pdf (two boards in one file) ?
– project code + board1.png and project code + board2.png (two boards in two files, instead of  project code + boards.png which is only one file)?

Answer

Please add the pdf boards into one file as project code + boards.pdf (two boards in one file)

images can be added into separate files as project code + board1.png and project code + board2.png

Question

You say we should work on “one of the following scales: HOUSING BLOCK, URBAN
BLOCK, MIKRORAYON” but also “develop proposals that crossbreed between different themes and scales“. Can you please explain a bit more the difference that you see between the first and second scale?

Answer

In the full brief, there are diagrams for each scale of the competition that might help in understanding how the curators define different scales. Participants can choose to work in any of the 3 following scales: a) housing block, in the scale of a building b) urban block, in the scale of a cluster of buildings c) micro rayon, in the scale of a district that contains many blocks and is developed as an urban design proposition. By mentioning that “proposals that crossbreed between different themes and scales”, the curators mean that proposals should focus on one scale, but think of the implications of each solution to other scales.

Question

Is it supposed to be the title for the project, should the participants choose freely, or will it be assigned?

Answer

You are welcome to choose the project code freely.

Question

I’m not sure if I missed out on the information regarding the necessity to register/fill in some special application form (or if the application is submitted together with the submission of works)? In addition, I am interested in whether we should pay to participate, and if so, how much?

Answer

Entry to the competition is free of charge and without pre-registration.

Question

I have read from the regulations that architects and architecture students can participate in the competition, I am a recent graduate in architecture but at the moment I am not registered with any professional order, can I participate anyway?

Answer

As a recent architecture graduate you are eligible to take part in the competition.
